Dr. Malcolm Gillis, professor of economics and former president of Rice University, gave the Star Trek Vulcan salute to the Chipola College Class of 2008 at the end of his commencement address.  His talk was entitled “Making a Life, Making a Living in a Fast-changing World.”

Gillis graduated from Chipola in 1960.
