Mike
Park is announcing his candidacy for Superintendent of Schools
for Washington County.
Park was born at Tyndall Air Force Base in Panama City and
raised in the Wausau community. He graduated from Vernon
High School in 1975, and worked for a brief period for the
Florida Department of Transportation in Panama City before
attending Chipola Junior College in Marianna. He graduated
from CJC in 1980 with an Associate in Arts Degree and completed
his Bachelor of Science Degree at Florida State University in
1982. He completed his Masters Degree in Educational
Leadership at the University of West Florida in 1995.
After graduating from FSU, Park began a career in education.

Mike and his wife Carol have one son Matt who is currently
attending Chipola College pursuing a degree in education.
The family attends St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church in Chipley.

future,“ Park said.
