Local citizens gathered on the steps of the Washington County Courthouse shortly after noon today to observe and participate in a National Day of Prayer.  Rev. Mike Orr from the First Baptist Church prayed for our nation.  Rev. David Darrow from the First Presbyterian Church prayed for state and local governments.  Rev. Ward Clarke from the Episcopal Church prayed for our schools.  Rev. Price Wilson from Jerusalem Baptist Church prayed for our families.  Rev. Kermit Soileau from New Prospect Baptist Church prayed for our military.
