James Wesley Smith, 50, of Chipley passed away December 9
in the Bay Center Nursing Home in Panama City. He was
a native of Washington County and of the Methodist faith.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, December 22,
at St. Joseph A.M.E. Church in Chipley with Rev. Michael
Killings, Rev. Obadiah White and Rev. Thomas Smith
officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Joseph
Cemetery with Cooper Funeral Home of Chipley directing.
Survivors include his brothers and sisters, Carl Finklea,
Brenda Killings (Bishop Michael), Tammie Robinson (Winston),
all of Chipley, and Quincy Carter of Bonifay, and many
aunts, uncles and other relatives and friends.
The remains will lie in repose at the church one hour
prior to the service.
