Shannon (McDaniel) Cook, age 39, of Vernon passed from
this life on Tuesday, January 26, in Bonifay.
Shannon had resided in Vernon the last five years.
She was of the Free Will Baptist faith and member of the
Abigail Free Will Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. on Saturday, January
30, at the Abigail Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev.
Larry Sowell and Rev. Buzz Kirby officiating.
Interment will follow in the New Hope Cemetery with Brown
Funeral Home directing. The family will receive
friends from 5 until 7 p.m. on Friday, January 29, at Brown
Funeral Home, Brickyard Road Chapel in Chipley.
Shannon is survived by her parents Jerry and Cricket
McDaniel of Mobile, Alabama; husband, Jimmy Cook of Vernon;
two sons: Myles Cook of Vernon and Ryan and wife Ashley Cook
of Mobile, Alabama; two brothers: Rodney and wife Missy
McDaniel of Chipley and Greg and wife Kim McDaniel of
Daleville, Alabama; one brother at heart, Jimmy and wife
Sheri Boles; maternal grandfather, Roy Evans of Elkin, North
Carolina; two uncles: Chris and wife Miranda Holcomb of
Roaring River, North Carolina and Eddie and wife Michelle
Holcomb of Greensborough, North Carolina; two close friends:
Sheila and Nancy; and one grandchild, Gracie Cook of Mobile,
Alabama.
