Preston C. Jenkins, 86, of Graceville passed away
Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2009 at his residence following an
extended illness.
Mr. Jenkins was born in Houston County, Alabama, on
December 13, 1923 to the late William T. and Daisy Truman
Sizemore Jenkins. A U. S. Navy veteran of World War
II, Mr. Jenkins was a retired farmer.
Preceded in death by his son, Ray Jenkins.
Survived by his beloved wife Wauness Jenkins; three
children: Fay Fount and husband Darrell of Marianna, Don
Jenkins and wife Tina of Hollister, CA, Kenny Jenkins and
wife Rhonda of Chipley; eight grandchildren; 13 great
grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Saturday, January
2, 2010 at Damascus Baptist Church with Rev. Johnny Jones
officiating. Burial will follow in church cemetery
with James & Lipford Funeral Home in Graceville directing.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, 4
p.m. to 6 p.m. Flowers will be accepted or those
wishing may make memorials to Covenant Hospice, 4440
Lafayette Street, Suite C, Marianna, FL 32446.
