Martha Owens, 76, of Graceville passed away January 30 in
Dothan, Alabama, following an extended illness.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, February
2, at Bethel Baptist Church with Bro. Donald Davis, Jr.
officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery
with James & Lipford Funeral Home in Graceville directing.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, 6 to
8 p.m.
Ms. Owens was born in Jackson County on February 3, 1933
to the late James Leon and Lena B. Holland Jones. She
was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace Owens;
son, Randy Owens; grandchildren: Shelbey Knight and Brad
Hubbard; two sisters: Gladys Davis and Jean Smith; and one
brother, John Ed Jones.
She is survived by her beloved daughters: Brenda Smith
(Gerald) of Ozark, Marilyn Smith (Steve) of Dothan, and
Carolyn Knight (Timothy) of Pensacola; three brothers: James
L. Jones, Jr. of Malvern, Juliues Jones and Kenneth Jones,
both of Slocomb; three sisters: Lillie Carmichael of Esto,
Christine Butler and Enmalene Welch of Hartford; seven
grandchildren: Nicholas Hamm, Darby Pride, Holley Knight,
Casey Knight, Hunter Smith, Brandon Owens and Beth Owens;
two great grandchildren: Ariana Pride and Aaron Hamm.
