Audrey A. Walker, age 87, went to be with the Lord on
Wednesday, January 20, at her residence.
She was born in Cord, Arkansas, on November 22, 1922 to
Lindsey and Rose (Corbit) Miller. Mrs. Walker was in
housekeeping and retired from the Northwest Florida
Community Hospital. She has lived here since 1959,
coming from Belle Glade. She was of the Baptist faith
and was a member of the Wausau Quilting Club.
Mrs. Walker was preceded in death by her husband, Charles
Walker; one grandchild; and one great grandchild.
She is survived by her three sons: Charles Walker and
wife Dinnia of South Shore, Kentucky, Karl Walker and wife
Jacqueline of Panama City, and Michael Walker of Panama
City; four daughters: Audrey Tobias of Panama City, Jean
Petta and husband Bob of El Paso, Texas, Rosilee Batchelor
and husband Warren of Wausau, and Carlotta (Wendy)
Walsingham and husband Ron of Deer Point Lake; 16
grandchildren; and 27 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, January
27, graveside at Wausau Memorial Gardens Cemetery with the
Rev. Phillip Gainer officiating. Visitation will be
held from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, January 21, at
Brown Funeral Home
Chapel on Main Street in Chipley.
